Jackson Chourio led the Milwaukee Brewers to a decisive 10-1 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays on Monday night in St. Petersburg, securing a 3-0 lead in the World Series. The win marks the seventh consecutive game in which the Brewers have defeated their opponents in the National League Championship Series and the World Series. The Brewers now stand one win away from an 8-0 postseason run, a streak that would be the first in Major League Baseball history.

Chourio went 4-for-4 with two runs and one RBI in the first five innings. He opened the game with a line drive single and followed with singles in his next two at-bats. His double in the fifth inning came during an eight-run rally that separated the teams. The Brewers recorded 16 hits in total, while the Rays managed only three. The Rays scored their lone run in the ninth inning on two hits after the game was largely decided.

At 22 years old, Chourio became the youngest player to record a four-hit game in the World Series since Joe Garagiola in 1946. It was the first such performance by a player of that age in 80 years. He is batting .571 in the series with 14 at-bats. His postseason statistics include two home runs and three stolen bases, including one taken during Monday's game.

"Yeah, I think that you could say this is one of my better games," Chourio said after the game. "Really, I was just taking every at-bat like it could be my last and trying to find any way I could to get on base. Because I know, as long as I get on base, there's guys behind me who could score."

Brewers manager Pat Murphy noted that the team is not surprised by Chourio's development. "Nobody's surprised that Jack Jack's doing this," Murphy said. "He's turning into a fine player. He's understanding what it takes, the discipline that it takes. He's coming into his own. Nobody's shocked. He's just really, really good."

Murphy compared Chourio's work ethic to that of Kobe Bryant, praising his defensive efforts and speed. Chourio threw out a baserunner at home plate in Game 2, a play that helped secure a 5-4 win. He has been a consistent presence in the lineup, playing in 127 games this season despite injury. His 4.9 WAR this year stands as a marker of his impact on the team.

Chourio is under contract with the Brewers through the 2031 season, with two club options extending his tenure through 2033. The team has also relied on players like Jake Bauers and starter Robert Gasser to fill various roles. The Rays have not scored since the first inning of Game 2, where they managed four runs before losing 5-4. The series moves to Milwaukee for Game 4, where the Brewers can complete the sweep.
