Bath Rugby ended a three-game losing streak with a 36-28 victory over Sale on Sunday at the Rec. The home side secured a bonus-point win, improving on their previous performances by creating more space and finishing plays with greater precision. The match was played in front of a full house.

Joe Cokanasiga scored two of the five tries for Bath. Henry Arundell, Tom de Glanville, and Louie Hennessey added the remaining scores for the home team. Finn Russell converted four of those tries and added a penalty to the total. On the other side of the field, Nathan Jibulu, Tom O'Flaherty, Luke Cowan-Dickie, and Elia Canakaivata scored for Sale. George Ford converted all four of those tries.

Johann van Graan, the director of rugby for Bath, noted the difference in execution between this match and the previous week's defeat. "Last week we didn't take our opportunities, but we were much more clinical today," he said. Van Graan highlighted how Finn Russell used the space available against a physical opponent. He was satisfied with the team's result, pointing out that they earned five points from the game.

Van Graan also commented on the team's recent home record. He stated that the side has now collected 16 points from its first set of fixtures. The coach said he was happy with the total and did not worry about Sale failing to earn a losing bonus point.

Miles Reid, a back rower for Bath, described the win as a major relief after three consecutive losses. He explained that the team knew the breakdown area would be important due to Sale's line-out threats. Reid said the forwards and backs worked together well throughout the match, helping the group stay united after a difficult run of results.
