Residents of South Florida should brace for wetter conditions and stronger winds this weekend. The weather pattern will feature higher rain chances and sustained breezes, creating a mix of clouds and showers over the next few days.

The forecast is driven by a stalled front positioned slightly south of the region and another stalling to the north. A mid-level low will also move over Florida from Sunday into Monday, further increasing the likelihood of precipitation.

On Saturday, skies will remain mostly cloudy with occasional showers moving onshore. Some storms may move slowly, raising the risk of localized flooding. High temperatures are expected to reach the mid-80s, accompanied by an easterly breeze. While rain may pause trick-or-treating at times, the day is not expected to be a washout.

Sunday will bring wetter conditions as the mid-level low approaches. Scattered showers and storms are forecast, particularly in the morning and evening. Sustained winds will reach 20 mph, with gusts up to 30 mph. These winds may enhance coastal flood risks during high tides, a concern given the ongoing King Tides.

Poor beach and boating conditions are expected, with a High Surf Advisory in effect for Broward beaches. The risk of strong winds and rain will persist from Sunday night into at least Monday morning. By the end of Monday, a drying trend is expected to take hold, leaving only an isolated chance of showers for Election Day.

The remainder of the following week will be warm and muggy, with quiet weather and rain chances between 20 and 30 percent.
