A 600-page expanded edition styled as a fictional 1975 documentary guide tops the list of holiday releases identified by Variety. The volume includes archival materials and scores, with contributions from Helen Mirren and Seth Meyers. It references an IFC comedy series and serves as one of the largest physical items in this year’s catalog.

The selection of high-quality coffee table books spans multiple entertainment sectors. These oversized volumes are designed to function as home decor while offering detailed cultural content. The releases include glossy behind-the-scenes material aimed at pop-culture enthusiasts across different age groups.

Film history dominates the majority of the titles. A 176-page volume documents Sofia Coppola’s 2006 film Marie Antoinette, marking the movie’s 20th anniversary. The book features photography of Kirsten Dunst and Versailles sets, along with an oral history and a new conversation with Coppola. Another key title is a 270-page visual guide to Luc Besson’s sci-fi film, which includes costume photography, blueprints, props, rare concept art, and the original screenplay.

Specific directors and franchises have dedicated hardcovers released this season. A 416-page hardcover celebrates the 60th anniversary of the Star Wars franchise, tracing the original series and its first six feature films. The book contains unpublished images, interviews, and production memorabilia. A separate 256-page official art book for a 2026 film release features concept sketches and interviews written by Phil Szostak, with a foreword by Lucasfilm’s Doug Chiang.

The lineup also includes a 40th anniversary edition of an archival exploration of Disney’s early years, which contains rare concept art for Fantasia. A Taschen volume provides a comprehensive look at Stanley Kubrick’s process, featuring script annotations and rare production stills from 2001 to The Shining. A book authored by Hayao Miyazaki explores the early development of My Neighbor Totoro, including early concept art and lengthy interviews with the director and his collaborators.

Music and theater titles round out the selection. A luxury retrospective of a Netflix phenomenon features over 150 illustrations across 392 pages in a silk hardcover with an acrylic slipcase. The volume covers all five seasons through stills, concept art, and personal pictures. A 240-page Dune volume features behind-the-scenes images by Niko Tavernise, who documented the production across Budapest, Altivole, Jordan, and Abu Dhabi, with a foreword by Austin Butler and a preface by Greig Fraser.

Additional releases include a visual dialogue between photographer Frank Ockenfels 3 and David Bowie, a visual record of Oasis, and a portrait collection of Tina Turner by Peter Lindbergh. Other titles cover the Marvel multiverse, the history of horror films with a foreword by John Landis, and a mapmaking book that applies cartography to 35 iconic films. A retrospective of Ralph McQuarrie’s Star Wars artwork and a guide to Hollywood backdrops are also part of the 2026 holiday selection.
