Lil Baby released his new album, FRESH, on Friday, countering rumors that his relevance in the hip-hop industry was fading. The project marks the first new music from the Atlanta rapper since December 2025, when he released The Leaks.
The rollout began with the single “Dead Fresh,” produced by Pharrell Williams. The track came with a colorful music video and received mixed reactions from fans. This strategy mirrors the release of The Leaks, which was preceded by the single “Mrs. Trendsetter.”
FRESH features a limited list of collaborators, including Future, Young Thug, and Rylo Rodriguez. Rylo Rodriguez appears on two tracks. Young Thug’s inclusion was noted as a notable addition to the tracklist.
On the track “Top Uh It,” Lil Baby states he will be rich until 2099. The song “From The Back” samples “Do It” by Mykko Montana and K Camp. The album cover is a collage of photographs from the artist’s childhood.
To promote the release, Lil Baby partnered with American Deli, a popular Atlanta wings spot. The restaurant will give away free “WHAM Wings” to the first 500 fans who visit a pop-up event on Saturday, November 7.
Early reactions to the album identified “Ain’t Gon” as a standout track. The album also includes a song titled “Life Of The Party,” which serves as a birthday song.
