Visitors to the Buena Park theme park will see a new ice skating show this holiday season. The park, operating as Knott’s Merry Farm, opens on Nov. 20 and runs through Jan. 3. The new production, “Snoopy’s Merry Christmas Follies,” will serve as the headliner for the event.

The show takes place in the Walter Knott Theater. It features the Peanuts Gang alongside world-class ice skaters. The performance also includes high-kicking dancers and a vocal quartet singing holiday classics.

Returning attractions include the “T’is the Season” tree lighting ceremony in Calico Park. The event returns on select nights with a 50-foot-tall Victorian-inspired Christmas tree. The tree is decorated with 7,000 lights, custom-made candles, and vintage wood ornaments.

Guests can also see “A Calico Christmas Carol” in the Bird Cage Theatre. That show alternates performance times with “Gift of the Magi, 1885.” The “Home for the Holidays” stage show returns to the Calico Mine Stage after debuting in 2019. The park describes the musical as a blend of an Andy Williams special, “It’s a Wonderful Life,” and the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Live music will continue in the Fiesta Plaza Stage. Texas-born trumpeter and singer Adelaide Pilar will perform there during the holidays. Her setlist mixes New York salsa, Latin Caribbean beats, and Top 40 hits. She will share the stage with performers Junio and Wayu. Krazy Kirk & the Hillbillies will also play in the Wagon Camp with a holiday twist.

The park’s nightly “Snow & Glow” light show will fall on Calico Ghost Town several times per night. Shoppers can visit the Christmas Crafts Village and take photos at Santa’s Christmas Cabin. More than two dozen food locations will serve seasonal items, including the Cranberry Meatball Hoagie and Hot Chocolate Churros.
