The San Bernardino County Behavioral Health Department is asking the public to review its updated Behavioral Health Services Act plan. The department is seeking input from residents, families, providers, and community partners before finalizing changes to how local services are funded and delivered.
The plan covers the period from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2029. The current update introduces two new housing development projects that will add 98 units in the county. It also includes program realignments designed to match how services are currently provided, along with adjustments to funding allocations.
The department states that community feedback helps them understand local priorities and identify concerns. This input allows the plan to better reflect the needs of communities across San Bernardino County.
Public comments are due by November 9, 2026. Residents can review the update and submit comments through the department’s website. Comment forms are available in both English and Spanish.
Those seeking translation, interpretation, or disability accommodations can call 800-722-9866. TTY users should dial 7-1-1. For other inquiries, people can email bhsa@dbh.sbcounty.gov. The department continues its work to improve access to behavioral health services and support wellness and recovery for individuals and families in the county.
