The Azov Regiment has released detailed information regarding the four mobilized servicemen who were injured during the clashes at a temporary deployment point in Petropavlivska Borshchahivka, Kyiv Oblast. According to the unit, 26 mobilized soldiers were present in the house where the incident occurred on November 2, with four sustaining injuries that required medical attention.
Pavlo Kurchenko, the commander of Military Unit 3121 within the 1st Corps of the Azov National Guard, addressed rumors that had circulated online. He stated that there were no numerous beaten individuals or dead bodies in the building, a claim that had been made by doctor Valentyna Moloda during a live stream. The four injured men, identified as Andrii Kuleshov, Ivan Yareshko, Oleksandr Pavliuchenko, and Oleksandr Perminov, were transported to a National Guard medical facility after the incident.
Kuleshov was in the facility for quarantine and adaptation following an absence without leave. A former National Guard serviceman, he had previously served in the 52nd Forge International Assault Regiment before fleeing and being placed on a wanted list. He was located at his home in Kyiv, detained, and subsequently moved to the Petropavlivska Borshchahivka site. Kurchenko noted that questions were raised regarding Kuleshov because his details appeared on the Myrotvorets website, linked to multiple illegal border crossings into the self-proclaimed Luhansk and Donetsk People's Republics between 2015 and 2021. Kuleshov's brother resides in the occupied territory, and his mother, who also lives in the self-proclaimed DPR, had temporarily traveled to Ukrainian-controlled land for medical care.
Ivan Yareshko, who was mobilized on October 30, was reported to be under the influence of drugs during the incident. A rapid urine test confirmed the presence of narcotic substances. Kurchenko described Yareshko as aggressive from the moment he was handed over to the unit. After attempting to attack a medical worker and disturbing other servicemen, Yareshko was isolated in a separate room where he began self-mutilating actions.
Oleksandr Pavliuchenko suffered a back injury during an air raid at basic military training. He was diagnosed with a consolidated fracture of the ninth vertebra at the Lutsk City Clinical Hospital. Despite a medical discharge summary recommending he remain in a lying position, Pavliuchenko was returned to the deployment point after being forcibly discharged from the hospital due to severe alcohol intoxication and aggressive behavior, including urinating in the ward. Kurchenko stated that Pavliuchenko was prescribed medication and monitored by a unit medic with no critical health violations thereafter.
The fourth injured man, Oleksandr Perminov, was not considered a victim by the commander. Perminov had previously encouraged other personnel to escape and later went AWOL himself. After being detained by the military, he was moved to the Petropavlivska Borshchahivka deployment point to prevent further incidents of incitement. The unit has official documents verifying the status of all four servicemen.
As of now, all four men are reported to be in stable condition. Internal investigations have been launched to review the circumstances surrounding the incident. The clashes on November 2 were triggered by unverified reports of torture and illegal detention, which led to a crowd gathering and smashing a National Guard bus. High-ranking officials, including National Guard Commander Oleksandr Pivnenko and Kyiv Office Head Kyrylo Budanov, visited the scene to manage the situation.
The initial reports of illegal detention were spread by a woman who presented herself as the owner of the Med-Prestige company, a private ambulance service that had not been operating since 2023. Slidstvo.Info journalists identified her as Valentyna Moloda, the owner of a plastic and aesthetic surgery clinic. Following the events, Budanov confirmed that the woman, who was the first to arrive at the house in an ambulance and declare the military personnel were being illegally held, has been detained.
