Cristopher Sánchez has been named a finalist for the National League Cy Young Award. The left-handed pitcher joins Chris Sale of Atlanta and Jacob Misiorowski of Milwaukee in the voting race.

Sánchez posted a 2.91 earned run average in 2026. He led all National League pitchers in wins with 18 and in starts with 33. His 207 innings pitched marked a career high and ranked second in baseball, trailing only Sandy Alcantara of Miami.

The Phillies pitcher also set a single-season record for the longest scoreless streak by a left-hander in major league history at 50⅔ innings. In 2025, he finished as the unanimous runner-up in Cy Young voting behind Paul Skenes.

Closer Jhoan Duran was named a finalist for the National League Reliever of the Year Award. The Baseball Writers’ Association of America is debuting this specific honor this season. Duran recorded 33 saves in 35 opportunities, a total that ranked fourth in the National League.

Duran finished the season with a 1.82 earned run average and a 0.994 walks plus hits per inning pitched mark in 59⅓ innings. Trevor Megill of Milwaukee and Mason Miller of San Diego round out the list of finalists for the reliever award.

Don Mattingly was named a finalist for National League Manager of the Year. He shares that distinction with Pat Murphy of Milwaukee and Walt Weiss of Atlanta. Mattingly took over as manager from Rob Thomson on April 28.

Under Mattingly, the Phillies went 79-55. The team improved from a 9-19 start to claim second place in the National League East. They advanced to the wild-card series before falling to the Braves in three games. The organization made Mattingly the full-time manager this offseason. Winners for all awards, including MVP and Rookie of the Year, will be announced the week of Nov. 9.
